CYCLO ALIPHATIC EPOXY RESIN

Epoxy Resin CE is a low viscosity Cycloalphatic Epoxy Resin. The Resin CE with Hardner 509 and Catalyst is recommended for hot curing casting applications. Due to low mix viscosity Silica Floor could be added up to 300 parts. This casting system is specially recommended for outdoor CT applications where difficult climatic conditions prevail and the components are exposed to ultra violet radiations

The specific applications are dry type outdoor transformers, CTs, PTs and outdoor electrical insulators bushings. The use if silica as filler ensures stable dielectric properties under outdoor humid conditions.

  • The addition of Powdered mineral fillers such as Silica flour,Al2O3etc is advisable when manufacturing casting that will be subjected to mechanical and electrical stress.Fillers of this type give typical advantages as

  • Silica flour fillers pretreated with silanes are recommended for use in casting intended for outdoor applications

Mixing Properties

  • Epoxy Resin CE : 100 p.b.w
  • Hardner 509 (H) : 100 p.b.w
  • Accelerator : % BOR
  • Dried Filler : 300 p.b.w
  • Gel time at 80°C – 100 –200 minutes
  • Curing 2hrs at 80°C and 8 hrs at – 140°C
