A modified Resin based impregnating paint of Insulation Class F
Electrocoat - White is a Reactive low solvent based, filled and pigmented modified impregnating resin.
Conventional Electrical choke is a closed type that is winding and laminations are packed in a container and potted with Polyester impregnating resin. The potted choke is heavy, more heating and hence more electrical losses. Some times it gives humming sound due to loose windings.
The modified design of Electrical fluorescent lighting ballasts or chokes is open type or shell type.
This type is impregnated and coated in a single process with a special impregnating paint. This paint gives Electrical insulation, heat conduction and aesthetic look in a single process.
Electrocoat - White is a single component system, the system has:
- Excellent hiding power
- Good Film Resistance to impact and scratch
- High bonding strength for coils
EC-White is suitable for all types of application methods viz. dipping, vacuum or vaccum pressure impregnation. The system is most suitable for impregnation of ballasts.

Application viscosity could be adjusted with addition of Thinner MS.
Curing Schedule
- After coating air dry 10 min to 30 min
- There after 2 to 3 hours in an air circulating oven at 130 °C
