Electrical Insulation Coating Powder

EPICOAT-E is a one part Epoxy Resin Powder formulation specially designed for insulation coating of Slot cells of motor Stators and Rotors particularly of micro motors e.g. two wheeler auto start motors, magnetoes & hand tool armatures. The powder also could be used for motors coil impregnation.

Coating Conditions

  • Fluidised bed coating (FBC)
  • Pre-heat temperature of the object : 180°C - 220°C
  • Dip time of object : 1-10 seconds
  • Cure Schedule : 150°C / 30 min or 180°C /10 min

Storage of Powder

  • Powder should be stored at 20°C or below in closed containers. Storage area should be dry, free from atmospheric moisture. After removing powder from cold storage allow to attain the ambient temperature in closed containers before opening and using to avoid moisture contamination. The shelf life of powder is 3 months at 20°C
