POLYURETHANE CASTING RESIN
An UL-V0 Approved System (UL File No. E255884)
URECAST- FR is a PU based potting compound specially developed for Electrical c Electronics applications. When mixed with liquid Poly Isocyanates, undergo a chemical reaction and cure to yield thermoset. URECAST- FR has distinct advantages over Epoxy Resins.
- Flame retardancy meeting the requirements of UL 94 V0
- Very low shrinkage
- Low initial Viscosity
- Higher degree of Elasticity ,most resilient material
- Resistance to Chemicals c transformer oils
- Easy pourability
- Lower material cost than epoxy
Applications
- Cable Fittings
- URECAST-FR is ideally used in the manufacture of cable sleeves and sealing ends.
- The additional properties are
- Good adhesion to PVC
- High resistance to aggressive soil
- Electrical & Electronic Circuit Potting
- URECAST- FR is used to encapsulate electrical components such as Transformers, Capacitors and Electronic circuits
- The URECAST- FR potted electronic circuits have following advantages
- Safe from tracing your precious circuits
- Delicate electronic components are well protected from mechanical shocks, moisture, chemicals & dust.
