URECAST -FR

POLYURETHANE CASTING RESIN

An UL-V0 Approved System (UL File No. E255884)

URECAST- FR is a PU based potting compound specially developed for Electrical c Electronics applications. When mixed with liquid Poly Isocyanates, undergo a chemical reaction and cure to yield thermoset. URECAST- FR has distinct advantages over Epoxy Resins.

  • Flame retardancy meeting the requirements of UL 94 V0
  • Very low shrinkage
  • Low initial Viscosity
  • Higher degree of Elasticity ,most resilient material
  • Resistance to Chemicals c transformer oils
  • Easy pourability
  • Lower material cost than epoxy

Applications

  • Cable Fittings
  • URECAST-FR is ideally used in the manufacture of cable sleeves and sealing ends.
  • The additional properties are
  • Good adhesion to PVC
  • High resistance to aggressive soil
  • Electrical & Electronic Circuit Potting
  • URECAST- FR is used to encapsulate electrical components such as Transformers, Capacitors and Electronic circuits
  • The URECAST- FR potted electronic circuits have following advantages
  • Safe from tracing your precious circuits
  • Delicate electronic components are well protected from mechanical shocks, moisture, chemicals & dust.
